TPBF Discusses Trade in Gemstones, ETT in
Introductory Meeting with Envoy in Bangkok

Thai Pak Business Forum (TPBF) recently attended a fruitful and cordial introductory meeting with Saadia Altaf Qazi, newly designated ambassador of Pakistan to Thailand, at embassy of Pakistan in Bangkok.
The meeting was hosted by the embassy and was attended by Salman Parvaiz, deputy head of mission (DHM), and Asif Bhatti, community consular, stated the forum in a social media post.
The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for TPBF leadership and members to introduce themselves to the ambassador and to share their respective areas of business, expertise, and responsibilities within the forum.
The TPBF delegation was led by Chairman Iftikhar Ali, and President Malik Shaheen Awan. They were accompanied by Senior Vice President Arshad Hayat Malik, General Secretary Muhammad Suhail Kausar, President Pattaya Chapter Nofal Fawad, President Women’s Wing Dr. Katekaew Chuay Khan, Vice President Finance Zaheer Ahmed Awan, Vice President Fisheries Akhtar Jamil Awan, Vice President Events Azam Khan, and Vice President Gemstones Shaheen Farid, Vice President.
Other TPBF members attending the meeting included Admin Officer Malik Arslan Awan, Hira Awan, Social for media communications, and two members Chaudhary Muhammad Ehsin and Mohammad Ibrahim.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the formation, constitution, objectives, and future programs of TPBF with a particular focus on strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and business-to-business cooperation between Pakistan and Thailand.
One of the important areas discussed was the gemstone sector. The participants explored opportunities to bring rough gemstones from Pakistan to Thailand for cutting, polishing, designing, grading, and certification. The possibility of developing professional training programs for Pakistani people in modern gemstone handling was also discussed, with the objective of increasing value addition and creating new business and employment opportunities.
Another key area of discussion was Embryo Transfer Technology (ETT), particularly its application in modern livestock breeding and the development of high-quality goat and sheep breeds. The participants discussed the potential for cooperation, technology transfer, training, and investment between Pakistan and Thailand in this important agricultural sector.
The meeting also covered a range of other business-related issues, challenges, opportunities, and possible solutions, reflecting TPBF’s commitment to identifying practical avenues for expanding economic relations between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman Iftikhar Ali and President Malik Shaheen Awan, along with the TPBF delegation, presented flowers to Ambassador Qazi as a gesture of respect and a warm welcome. The delegation thanked the embassy officials for hosting the production meeting.
Thai forum looks forward to working closely with the embassy to further promote trade, investment, technology transfer, and stronger business relations between Pakistan and Thailand.
