Connects Community in Chicago

Pakistan American Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce (PACCC) successfully held its annual gala 2026 recently, bringing together business leaders, professionals, community representatives, healthcare leadership, and distinguished guests for an evening dedicated to strengthening connections between Pakistan and the United States.
In a social media post, the chamber said, “The evening commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran by Qari Mannan, followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and the United States, reflecting the friendship and shared aspirations of both nations.”
A presentation highlighting PACCC’s performance and achievements during the past year showcased the chamber’s growing role in building business linkages, developing institutional partnerships, promoting investment and trade, and creating stronger engagement between the Pakistani-American business community and Pakistan.
PACCC President Naveed Anwar, addressed the gathering and shared the chamber’s progress, vision and future direction.
“This was followed by a video message from PACC Vice President Rana Khurram Ali highlighting PACCC’s initiatives and its commitment to building meaningful bridges between businesses, institutions and investors in Pakistan and the United States,” the post noted.
A special message from the prime minister of Pakistan was read by Consul General Zaman Mehdi, while the ambassador of Pakistan’s message was presented by Deputy Consul General Saeed Mehdi.
An important highlight of the evening was the healthcare panel discussion, featuring Dr. Omar B Lateef, president and CEO of RUSH, and PACCC Chairman Dr. Tariq Butt.
The discussion provided valuable perspectives on healthcare leadership, collaboration, innovation and opportunities for greater professional and institutional engagement.
The gala also featured special video messages from Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, chairman of Prime Minister’s Youth Programme; Tariq Karim, ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar; and Usman Shoukat, president Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Tariq Butt acknowledging the distinguished guests, speakers, sponsors, partners, members and everyone whose support contributed to making the gala a success.
The evening continued over dinner and networking, providing guests an opportunity to build new relationships and explore avenues for future collaboration.
