Islamabad’s Water Security Gets Tech

With support from the US Department of State’s Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund, Pakistani start-up accelerator ScaleX Technologies equipped groundwater recharge sites with smart monitoring systems that track water levels, rainfall, and water quality in real time, stated US embassy in Pakistan in an X post.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Andy Halus said, “This project reflects the best of American innovation. By working hand-in-hand with American water experts, ScaleX and the Indus Entrepreneurs Islamabad Chapter have shown how US technology, innovation, and expertise can directly help secure Islamabad’s water future.”
The alumni-led initiative proves how American engineering paired with local leadership can address Islamabad’s water scarcity challenge with scalable solutions.
