Hussain Muhammad, consul general (CG) of Pakistan in Dubai, recently attended the World Champion Recognition Ceremony in CENTURY Tech Challenge 2026 at English Language Private School (ELPS), Dubai, as the chief guest.
The consulate in a press release stated that the ceremony celebrated ELPS’ remarkable achievement of securing Global Rank #1 in the CENTURY Spring Challenge 2026, emerging as world champions among more than 1 million learners from over 1, 500 schools across 70 countries.
The event was attended by Hassan Ibrahim Hokal, ELPS chairman; Mohammad Rashid Ashraf, co-chairman; Ahmed Geddy, governor; fellow members of the board of governors, the school leadership, educationists, parents, and students.
Addressing the gathering, the consul general congratulated the school management, principal, teachers, students, and parents on the outstanding international accomplishment. He described the achievement as a matter of immense pride not only for the institution but also for the Pakistani community residing in the UAE.
The consul general particularly commended the students whose dedication and hard work enabled the school to attain global recognition. He also appreciated the commitment of the principal, teachers, and staff in fostering an environment that nurtures academic distinction. Highlighting the transformative role of education, the consul general said that education has always been the foundation of prosperous and peaceful societies.
The consul also paid tribute to the visionary leadership of the UAE for its unwavering commitment to educational excellence and innovation. He noted that the Pakistani community deeply values the opportunities extended by the UAE and acknowledged that achievements like those celebrated at ELPS are made possible by the country’s sustained emphasis on education and human development.
Also present on the occasion were Ali Zeb Khan, Trade & Investment counsellor, and Muhammad Saleh, Press Counsellor from the consulate.
ELPS is not entirely Pakistani-owned. The school’s chairman is an Emirati. However, the school’s leadership includes Pakistani community members. Mohammed Rashid Ashraf serves as the co-chairman of the board of governors, and M Y Abid Chaudhry serves as the principal. The school has deep roots in the Pakistani community.
It is located in Oud Metha and was founded in 1978. Today, about 36 different nationalities attend the school. However, Pakistani students make up the largest group of learners. Because of this, the school often works closely with the consulate general of Pakistan in Dubai for graduation events and visits.
