BEOEP Issues Safety Instructions for
Pakistani Workers in Gulf Countries

Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment Pakistan (BEOEP) on Wednesday issued safety instructions for Pakistanis working and living in Gulf countries following the US-Israel war against Iran.
“The current security situation in the Persian Gulf region is rapidly becoming uncertain and sensitive. Therefore, avoid leaving your homes unnecessarily and stay in safe locations as much as possible,” the statement of the bureau noted.
Specifically, complete avoidance of approaching military installations, airports, government buildings, or other sensitive locations is advised, as such places could be potential targets in any unexpected situation. It is essential to strictly follow all instructions issued by local police, civil defense, and security agencies.
Taking videos or photos of any military movements, missiles, or other defense activities, or infrastructure damage – and publishing them on social media or sending them to others – can lead to severe legal consequences. Cybercrime laws in Gulf countries are extremely strict; violations can result in immediate deportation and a permanent ban on re-entering any Gulf country in the future.
The bureau further advised the overseas Pakistanis in the Gulf region against the participation in any kind of protest, rally, or public demonstration in Gulf countries is legally prohibited. Involvement in such activities can lead to immediate arrest or deportation.
