Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment Pakistan (BEOEP) continues to urge people seeking overseas work to sign Foreign Service Agreement (FSA) with their foreign employees to secure their future.
In a recent statement, the bureau said; “The Foreign Service Agreement is a highly important legal document between you and your foreign employer (or their authorized representative). It clearly outlines all the terms and conditions of your employment and must be registered with the office of the Protector of Emigrants.”
The statement further noted that it is essential to read this document carefully. Never sign a blank or incomplete form, as this document holds key importance for the protection of your rights and benefits. This agreement secures your salary, working hours, allowances, and other legal rights.
The bureau further said; “Always remain vigilant for the protection of your hard work and your future. Sign the agreement only after fully understanding it, so that your overseas employment remains legal, safe, and transparent.”
FSA is a legally binding employment contract between a Pakistani worker and a foreign employer, usually lasting 1–2 years, which is registered with BEOEP. It mandates protections for workers, covering salary, accommodation, medical insurance, and return airfare, often facilitated by the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC).
