Pakistan-US Alumni Network (PUAN), US Mission in Pakistan, and the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) recently convened senior alumni representatives for the inaugural PUAN Reconnect 2026 dialogue on Pakistan–US collaboration in energy and critical minerals, a top priority for the US government.
A PUAN statement posted on its website noted; “Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Andy Halus emphasized US commitment to expanding American business opportunities in Pakistan’s energy and minerals sectors. Alumni experts from government, industry, and research identified concrete pathways forward: early-stage mineral exploration with US junior mining companies, business-to-business partnerships, EV [electric vehicles] integration, AI-driven grid management, and regional power connectivity.”
The message was clear: Pakistan’s mineral and energy potential is vast – unlocking it requires transparent policies, investor confidence, and sustained collaboration.
“The session concluded with Iftar and networking, reflecting our commitment to partnership-driven solutions,” the statement read.
