Pakistani American Law Enforcement Society (PALS) recently organized a colouful event to recognize the services of its retired members in New York City.
In an X post, PALS noted; “Mashallah. What an amazing tribute to our PALS retired members. Surrounded by their families, friends, and the community, we celebrated their years of dedicated service with a brand-new event designed just for them.
“The turnout was phenomenal. The night was packed with energy, featuring nonstop live entertainment: a live DJ kept the vibes going, a Dabka group had everyone on their feet, and we were honored by a powerful performance from the NYPD [New York Police Department] Pipe & Drum alongside the energetic beats of the Pakistani dhol.
“We capped it all off with delicious Pakistani food, incredible pan, and live jalebi. It was an honor to see our retirees recognized with PALS Awards, certificates from the Pakistani Consulate General New York, and citations from the NY State Assembly. A huge kudos to the PALS team for making it a night to remember.”
Aamer Ahmed Atozai, Consul General of Pakistan in New York, attended the Family Iftar hosted by PALS NYPD in New York. He commended PALS for fostering unity, strengthening community–police relations, and supporting humanitarian relief efforts in Pakistan and NYC.
