Embassy in Azerbaijani Issues Guidelines
for Pakistani Evacuating from Iran

Pakistan Embassy in Azerbaijan recently issued guidelines for Pakistanis evacuating from Iran via Azerbaijan deputing its team round the clock at Astara border to facilitate the evacuation.
In a press release, the embassy said that a help desk has also been setup at the border for instant coordination and to immediately resolve any issue. Moreover, a dedicated helpline +994 10 255 29 36 is also active 24/7 to respond to any query.
The statement further noted; “Prior permission from Azerbaijani authorities is required in order to enter into Azerbaijan through any of its land borders. Those intending to enter into Azerbaijan via Astara should communicate their passport details to the embassy on its helpline.”
It further stated that in view of the heavy influx, the permission processing takes considerable time and once the permission is received, it is conveyed immediately through the embassy’s helpdesk at Astara. In order to avoid inconvenience at the border, it is advised that the evacuees plan their journey once the permission confirmation is conveyed.
The embassy further advised the evacuees to have warm layered clothing with extra care for children and elderly due to the cold weather conditions.
