Association of Pakistani Descent Physicians of North America (APPNA) is going to organize a telethon on Sunday – March 8 to raise funds for a newly established emergency facility for children in Rawalpindi.
In an X post, the association said that every year, thousands of children in Pakistan arrive at emergency rooms in critical condition. With the right systems and care, many of these young lives can be saved.
“Join APPNA this weekend for our Fundraiser Telethon and learn about a groundbreaking initiative — APPNA’s first brick-and-mortar healthcare facility in Pakistan, a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Room in Rawalpindi developed in partnership with ChildLife Foundation,” the association stated.
The post further noted; “This project aims to bring world-class pediatric emergency care to children who need it most and has the potential to dramatically reduce pediatric emergency mortality.
“Join us to learn more about the project, hear from leaders behind the initiative, and discover how you can help build a future where no child loses their life due to lack of emergency care.”
