Pakistani Persian Poet  in Tehran

Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, ambassador of Pakistan to Iran recently hosts Ahmed Shahry, eminent Urdu and Persian poet from Quetta, Pakistan. The poet was in Iran on a visit.

In his post on X, Ambassador Mudassir said that a Persian-language documentary on Shahry’s life had been broadcast on Iranian television. He has recited poetry, nine times, in presence of His Eminence the Supreme Leader of Iran as part of a group of eminent poets, the envoy noted.

Shahry has authored and translated over 40 books and has also served as Pakistan’s Cultural Expert at the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Cultural Institute (ECI). ECI is a regional body for trade and development among Asian nations.
