Embassy Holds Seminar on Pakistan-
Japan Startup for AI, Digital Techs

Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo, in collaboration with the Asia Web3 Alliance Japan, recently organized a Pakistan–Japan startup and innovation event focused on AI, Web3 and digital technologies.
Abdul Hameed, ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, highlighted the growing role of innovation in bilateral economic cooperation. Hideto Kawasaki, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Digital Affairs, shared Japan’s digital transformation priorities and the potential to combine Japan’s technological strengths with Pakistan’s digital talent.
Zarrar Hasham Khan, Secretary Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, presented an overview of Pakistan’s startup and technology ecosystem and its potential for international collaboration. A panel moderated by Hinza Asif, with Jonathan Tanemori and Tomoko Takasaki, discussed investor readiness, market entry and AI governance.
