Ahsan Iqbal Meets Kashmiri Diaspora in New York,
Urges Addressing of Grievances through Dialogue

Ahsan Iqbal, federal minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, recently met with members of the Kashmiri diaspora at the consulate general of Pakistan in New York.
The meeting provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on the latest developments in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The participants shared their perspectives and reaffirmed their commitment to the welfare and progress of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The minister underscored the government of Pakistan’s commitment to addressing the concerns of the people of AJK through dialogue and consultation, within the constitutional and legal framework. He noted that the government remains engaged with all stakeholders to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region.
The minister appreciated the continued support of the Kashmiri diaspora for the Kashmir cause and acknowledged their important role in raising awareness and strengthening Pakistan’s engagement with the international community.
