Qatar Energy Minister Condoles with Envoy
for Death of Pakistani National in Ras Laffan

Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs & President/CEO of QatarEnergy, visited embassy of Pakistan on Wednesday to convey condolences on the death of a Pakistani national in Ras Laffan incident.
Muhammad Aamer, ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar, thanked him, reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity with Qatar.
Official sources have not yet released the name of the Pakistani national who was killed in the Ras Laffan Industrial City explosion. The tragedy occurred on June 21, 2026, at the Barzan local gas supply facility. It was caused by a technical accident during a system restart, leaving one Pakistani and 12 Indian workers dead.
