Abdul Hameed, ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, recently hosted a networking dinner at his residence, bringing together Japanese stakeholders from the fields of investment, innovation, SMEs, agribusiness, food industries and trade promotion.
Pakistan embassy in Japan said in post on X that the gathering provided an opportunity for an informal exchange of views on the evolving economic relationship between Pakistan and Japan.
The discussions centred on translating the longstanding friendship between the two countries into deeper commercial engagement. Participants explored practical avenues for expanding bilateral trade, facilitating investment flows, fostering startup and innovation partnerships, strengthening agribusiness cooperation, and enhancing business-to-business linkages.
The exchange underscored the complementary strengths of the Pakistani and Japanese economies and the growing scope for collaboration among SMEs and the sectors driven by technology, entrepreneurship and sustainable growth.
The evening reaffirmed a shared commitment to jointly organising seminars and webinars and building stronger institutional and commercial partnerships, with an emphasis on creating tangible opportunities for businesses and investors in both countries.
