Envoy Spotlights Pakistan’s Pharmaceutical
Potential in Beijing Investment Conference

Khalil Hashmir, ambassador of Pakistan to China, recently addressed the promotion event of the Pakistan-China Pharmaceutical, Healthcare & Biotechnology Investment Conference at headquarters of IBI Goulian Gufen in Beijing recently.
In an X post, the ambassador said; “I highlighted Pakistan’s growing pharmaceutical and healthcare potential, investment opportunities, competitive manufacturing landscape, and the vast scope for bilateral collaboration in APIs (Application Programming Interface), biotechnology, vaccines, medical devices, and allied sectors.”
His post further noted that the upcoming China specific B2B Investment Conference in Karachi on 16–19 July 2026 will serve as an important platform to deepen industrial linkages, promote B2B partnerships, and facilitate Chinese investment in Pakistan’s pharma and healthcare ecosystem.
The ambassador appreciated IBI and the Fengtai District Government of Beijing for their partnership in hosting the event and inviting leading Chinese enterprises as well as industrial parks. He sad he was very happy to see keen interest among the enterprises to join the Karachi conference to explore mutually beneficial investment and cooperation opportunities.
