Embassy of Pakistan in Oslo, Norway recently commemorated 500 years of the Mughal Heritage of Pakistan through a cultural diplomacy evening showcasing the rich and enduring legacy of the Mughal Empire.

In a press release, the embassy stated tht the celebrations commenced with an exclusive film screening at Cinemateket, followed by a dinner reception hosted at the embassy. Guests were treated to live musical performances and an exhibition of Mughal-inspired artifacts and traditional instruments, highlighting the remarkable artistic, architectural, and cultural achievements of the Mughal period.

The statement noted that the event underscored how the Mughal legacy continues to shape Pakistan’s cultural landscape and remains reflected in language, music, cuisine, craftsmanship, and collective memory of the country.

The occasion was attended by a distinguished gathering of members of the diplomatic corps, members of parliament, representatives from academia and think tanks, the chair and members of the Pakistan Friendship Group in the Norwegian Parliament, members of the Pakistani-Norwegian community, and representatives of the media.

The embassy expressed gratitude over the enthusiastic participation of guests who joined in celebrating a shared cultural heritage that continues to inspire and connect people across generations and borders.
