Pakistan Seeks Enhanced Economic

Cooperation with Paraguay; Envoy

Hassan Afzal Khan, ambassador of Pakistan to Argentina, accompanied by the trade and investment counselor recently visited Paraguay to strengthen economic partnerships, promote stronger commercial linkages between the two countries and to explore new avenues of cooperation.

In a statement for media, the embassy said that the officials visited the South American country to participate in the international business round of Business Fiar of Paraguary – Feria Empresarial del Paraguay (FEPY), organized by the Industrial Union of Paraguay – Unión Industrial Paraguaya (UIP). During FEPY, the commercial section engaged with a number of South American companies through productive business meetings aimed at promoting trade, investment, and commercial collaboration.

The press release further noted that the visit also included meetings with the Paraguayan Chamber of Motorcycles and Automotive Industries (CIPAMA), the National Council of the Export Maquila Industry (CNIME), the Paraguayan Chamber of Supermarkets (CAPASU), and the Industrial Union of Paraguay (UIP). The discussions focused on bilateral trade-related matters and practical ways to further enhance economic cooperation between Pakistan and Paraguay.

Paraguayan chambers and industry representatives appreciated the mission’s proactive outreach and commercial engagement efforts, underscoring the growing interest in strengthening business-to-business linkages and expanding trade opportunities between the two countries.
