First PSF Meet by Embassy in Netherlands

Embassy of Pakistan in the Netherlands recently organized the first Pakistani Students Forum (PSF) at the Pakistan House in The Hague.
In a statement, the embassy noted that the event brought together a large number of Pakistani students, researchers, academic professionals and field experts for experience sharing and in-depth discussions on various aspects of the student life and the prospects of academic growth in the Netherlands.
In panel discussion, the academic professionals and field experts shed light on different aspects of Dutch academic institutions and opportunities available for skills development for the students. They also shared their experience of career growth in their respective fields including banking, law, academia, technology, agriculture and information technology.
Similarly, different Pakistani associations spoke about their journey in the Netherlands and urged the students to fully benefit from the opportunities for their professional development through their platforms. During an interactive question and answer session, the students actively engaged with the senior Pakistani professionals to seek their guidance on different aspects of their academic life and career growth.
In his closing remarks, Syed Haider Shah, ambassador of Pakistan, appreciated the huge participation of the students, researchers and Pakistani origin members of academic fraternity and experts for attending the first edition of PSF at Pakistan House. While acknowledging the contributions of Pakistani origin academic professionals and field experts in the development of The Netherlands, Ambassador Shah urged all the participants to fully benefit from the excellent opportunities available at the Dutch universities to equip themselves with high-end skills. He also shared key initiatives taken by the embassy to better facilitate Pakistani students and academic fraternity for consular services.
While acknowledging the embassy’s efforts in community engagement, the students greatly appreciated the initiative and vowed to take maximum benefit from the academic and professional opportunities available in the Netherlands.
The maiden event was followed by a networking lunch in which Pakistani traditional cuisine was served which all the participants cherished.
PSF was a part of the embassy’s initiatives to engage with different segments of Pakistani origin community in the Netherlands. The embassy will continue to hold such events regularly, the statement noted.
