OPF Chairman Discusses Issues of

Overseas Pakistanis with DG Passport

Pak-Prism Report | Published January 22, 2026

Syed Qamar Raza, chairman Board of Governors Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), recently held a meeting with Mustafa Jamal Qazi, director general (DG) Immigration & Passport, to discuss issues being faced by overseas Pakistanis.

A press note from OPF stated that the meeting particularly focused on the processing of third-time lost passports of members of the Pakistani community residing in Spain and cases where individuals have been placed on the Passport Control List (PCL) on petty grounds.

During the meeting, the OPF Chairman reiterated that the overseas Pakistanis were a valuable asset as they had been contributing generously to the country through substantial remittances, which have played a vital role in strengthening Pakistan’s national economy. He emphasized the need for facilitation and timely resolution of genuine issues faced by the expatriates, through legal process.

The DG Immigration & Passport assured that such matters would be examined on merit and resolved at the earliest possible time in accordance with the law.

Thanking the head of immigration for the assurance, the OPF chairman appreciated the DG for facilitating overseas Pakistanis in the timely issuance of passports, enabling them to apply for Hajj 2026 within the stipulated timeframe.
