PNBC Appoints Syed Tirmizi as
Director Food Trade, Compliance
Pakistan New Zealand Business Council (PNBC) recently appointed Syed Tirmizi as its director Food Trade and Compliance.
A statement from the council notes that Syed brings 23 years of experience in food technology in fast-moving consumer goods – FMCGs and 13 years in food safety both in Australia and New Zealand. He understands New Zealand food laws, import regulations and industry standards.
He is working with Ministry for Primary Industries, the High Commission in Wellington and Pakistan’s Department of Plant Protection on introducing Pakistani mangoes into the New Zealand market.
Welcoming the appointment, PNBC Chairperson Naveed Hamid said Syed’s expertise would help the council advocate for fair access, improved compliance support and stronger food trade links between the two co
