FIA Arrests Female Human Trafficker for Sexual
Exploitation of Pakistani Woman in Muscat

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Link Office, Muscat played a pivotal role in exposing an alleged international human smuggling network involved in the fake recruitment and sexual exploitation of a Pakistani woman in Oman.
Pakistan embassy in Muscat issued a press release said that the affected woman contacted the FIA Link Office and reported that she was lured to Oman under the pretense of employment; however, she was subsequently illegally detained, threatened, subjected to physical violence, and forced into prostitution.
The Link Office promptly registered her complaint, coordinated with FIA headquarters, and facilitated her safe return to Pakistan. Furthermore, relevant information and evidence were shared with the FIA for legal action.
Based on the information provided by the Link Office, the main accused Miss M B, was identified, and her travel details were furnished to the FIA. Upon the Link Office’s request, she was intercepted at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, upon arrival from Muscat and handed over to the FIA Anti Human Trafficking Unit Lahore.
Lahore FIA has registered FIR No. 1002/2026 under sections 3 and 4 of the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons Act, 2018, read with section 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code, against the nominated accused and arrested the main accused, Ms. M B. Further investigation is underway to determine the roles of other facilitators and accomplice accused involved in the incident.
The case reflects the effective communication and collaboration between the FIA Link Office Muscat and FIA authorities in Pakistan for the protection of Pakistani citizens abroad and robust action against international human smuggling, the embassy statement noted.
The FIA Link Office Muscat reiterates its commitment to strengthening cooperation with relevant authorities for assisting victims of human smuggling, identifying human smuggling networks, and taking legal action against them.
